Grace RPC will be hosting the Thanksgiving Service this year. It will be at 10:00 a.m. on November 24. Kevin Dennis will be preaching, and the offering will be dedicated to the Blessing Board in Shaler.

The Blessing Board is a Christian-based furniture bank with the mission to provide donated household furnishings to those in need at no cost in response to what God has done for us. Since 2010 we have served over 10,000 families who are struggling to meet basic needs. Their need may be the result of starting over after homelessness, domestic abuse, fire/flood, incarceration, or medical/behavioral health issues. Many have no bed to sleep on, no dining table to share a meal, and no couch to sit on with family and friends. These are things that most of us take for granted that many in our community cannot afford. On a Day of Blessing individuals are invited into our West Mifflin and Shaler showrooms to hear a brief gospel message before having the opportunity to select the furniture and home goods they need to make their house or apartment a home. Our prayer is that the individuals we serve will leave The Blessing Board with the household furnishings they need, but more importantly with the knowledge that they are loved and have hope for the future.
